What kind of plane is this?

That's a Roland Whale. The monocoque fuselage and solid wing struts give it away.

That's the King Armored Car. It was the first armored car produced by the US.

I FINALLY know a person.

That's Zepplin. His airships were the first strategic bombers.

Correct!

One thing of interest about him is that one thing that got him interested in flight was when as a member of the Prussian Army in the 1860's he was sent to America as an observer. While here he witnessed the use of hot air balloons for reconnaissance. That sparked his interest in flight.

That's the Austro-Hungarian Dreadnought SMS Szent Istvan(translation: Saint Stephen). She was made famous for allowing a tiny Italian torpedo boat... like this....

...to sink her....

and to make matters worse, he captain refused to order the crew to abandon ship so most of the crew was lost. She as the only capital ship of the war that was filmed going down.

The turret shape, superstructure, and funnels all say Austro-Hungarian battleship but no idea which one. I probably couldn't name but a few anyhow.

It made for an enigmatic profile - 4 turrets made me think German or UK - that straight prow definitely looked interwar - leave it to Darth to find a crazy story about the A-H navy.

Lots of ships from post US civil war up through WW1 had that style of bow. The A-H giveaway was the funnel placement and superstructure.

All the A-H dreadnaughts had their funnels close together and close to the bridge. The German's funnels were close together but they were more amidships. The British widely spaced their funnels and had bigassed pagoda masts to boot.

The plane's a Grumman Panther of The Bridges at Toko-Ri fame. Don't know what's up with all the graffiti.
