Is that Ataturk, the first President of Turkey?

Yep, that's my guess - Kemal Attaturk. (Still revered by the Turkish officers I've come in contact with).

Alright, times up....

His name was Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. He was a general of the Ottoman Empire's army. He first rose to fame for his role in the Battle of Gallipoli.

After the end of WWI and the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, he was the first president of Turkey. The Turks view him in the same way we Americans view George Washington. In fact he was originally named just Mustafa Kemal. The "Ataturk" was added to his name in the 1930's and means "Father of the Turks".

The gentlemen in the foreground of the above photo represent 4 different countries.
1. Who are they?
2. What countries do they represent?
3. What was the occasion for this meeting?
4. In what year did it occur?

I just wanted to acknowledge you and all the other obsessed followers I've gained. Your dedication to following me daily shows that I'm far more important to you than you are to me.

Thanks for catching the typo.
