The F-105 was the largest single engine, single seat combat aircraft in history.
The 102 and 106 were large planes as well, particularly for their role, but not the size of the Thud.
WE've got too many F-10's floating around. I meant to say 105, not 102.
Let's get back down to earth... Name this vehicle...
What country used this tank?

I think it was only a couple of feet longer and around the same span as the F-105, but the 105 had like 20K more pounds on it (empty).
Yeah - length wise, the 102 was 68+, and the F-106 was even longer, topping 70 feet. Thud was 3000+ pounds heavier, than either of the darts were at takeoff.

Wild guess - Shermans and Isreal?

Sherman. Israel.
Yep. But that's not a normal Sherman.

An up-gunned Isreali Sherman?
Posted on 7/21/14 at 2:08 pm to Darth_Vader
Looks like a Sherman chassy with a bigger gun.

Well, the one on the right is an M-50 with a Cummins. The one on the left (main one in the picture) is an M-51. They're called either Isherman (at least the M-51) or Super Sherman, generally.
ETA: The M-50 is armed with the Panther's 75mm gun and the M-51 sports a French 105mm.

Bingo again.

Didn't they call it the Super Sherman?
It is clearly up-gunned with a 90 or mayvbe 150mm cannon.
My father's a Vietnam vet. If he saw her on fire, he'd look for some gas to throw.
ETA - stupid work's been keeping me from playing along today.

Typo - meant to say 105 instead of 150. Don't think there's been a tank yet to mount a 6" cannon.
