Thanks, Darth. I can't open it now at work but will tonight. I think it is about time to dust off my 1/35 Panther Ausf G kit to sit next to my Tiger..
I've got an Avenger on my model desk that's been sitting there far too long. I need to finish it so I can get to the next one in my stack at home. Not sure what will come next but I'm leaning towards a tank... just not sure which one.

That's the German A7V. Their attempt at making a tank during WWI.
Very good, sir.

So, when are we going to see the thread title changed to "Post your favorite tank pr0n here"?

The A7V was much more of a rolling ironclad that a tank, as we use that term today. Here is how she was operated
There is something not right about that picture. Look closely and you'll see it.

We've had our share of planes and ships, as well as individuals. We're just in a tank phase right now.
BTW, I described 12 O'Clock High (1949) as B-17 pr0n as recently as last night.

Since I can't stump Darth in tanks excepting that one day he wasn't here, I will do a change-up. What plane is this and when did it serve? (Not the F4U-5N Corsair.)

The only thing that leaps out is the headgear, Darth - kind of looks US/British.

F2H Banshee, Korean era.

^This is the only thing that I can think, too.

Looks like one of the guys is dead/sleeping in the back while the gunner is looking at him.

Bingo. You got it.

The Banshee is in the logs of many great naval aviators, including a famous story by Jim Lovell.

Some of them have masks on?

But, I think A7V crews wore headgear similar to that, though.

Will have to check that story out. I would like to find a good model of that plane but yet have to.

Wow... Interesting picture. I've seen the A4V plenty of times but I've never seen a picture of their crew. I think you're right. Odd that they'd put their tankers in helmets so similar to the enemy. Imagine having to bail out and making your way back to your own lines.
