My uncle, aunt, & cousin lost their houses in Santa Rosa fires prior to these. Uncle had been there 40 years, everything gone. Seriously need to consider banning outdoor fires in these areas. The winds shift and the density of forest areas just a bad combo.

Over 400 people are missing & unaccounted for in Paradise, CA after the Camp Fire went through.

the Wind was 40 to 60 for 3 hours. It raced from calistoga to sta rosa.
At the time I lived just the other side of the mountain between Napa and lake.
It was gale force and I knew it was trouble. I still had ajada from the one previous that burned houses all around me.
Helicopters getting water from the lake.
The 3 fires near me that killed people and burned 1500 houses were
1. Valley fire started by short circuit hot tub. A guy I knew chose death. offered ride. Stayed.
2. River ... car driven on rim after flat (I hope he has to pay)
3. Ranch ...motorcycle accident. Slid.

That’s crazy. Dude was playing it cool despite being one flat tire away from being ash.

That is some crazy shite. To go from pitch black to sunny skies. Kudos to the driver, kept calm and just kept on keeping on.
