Us humans don't deserve dogs, the unlimited loyalty they give us is amazing.
I'm Extremely sorry for your loss.

I get mine cremated. I get a paw print and several vials of their fur.

sorry for any confusion with my post i tried to put some emojis in the message and they came up as ??
i dont always have right thing to say for subject line
we did give him nugget happy meal night before we took him to vet.
that being said
thanks so much for all the kind words during this time. it was even harder than i imagined but we buried him with his favorite blanket and some of his favorite toys. Chester meant so much to so many people and was a huge part of our family. my grown sons shed alot of tears and i actually had a panic attack while trying to read something while we were putting him to sleep. was so weird not going to find him this morning.
on a good note my son and wife have found out they are having my first grandchild in December. circle of life goes on lost one of family but have another one coming.
thanks again for all the support it meant alot seeing other people went through same ordeal and we werent alone.

We have had two “family” dogs in the 37 years that my wife and I have been together .
A Pembroke Welsh Corgi that I got when we were dating and who lived until he was 16 through all 4 of our kids formative years. They still tell stories about him. I think the squirrels in my back yard had a celebration when he passed cause he gave them hell. A couple of years later I got my wife a Westie for Mother’s Day. Totally different personality and experience. Kids were almost grown when we got her and were all well into their adult lives when she passed. Their stories about her are totally different but just as hilarious. I cried like a two year old as I layed both of them their final resting place under the live oak in our back yard .
