Has the lack of reliability of some countries' crime reporting been addressed yet as to the comparison issue? The UK is notorious for under reporting.

Nope. Also, I forgot to mention this.. My friend on Facebook didn't create this chart. He shared it from a page called Everytown for Gun Safety page.

As much as we're all "frick you" on the thread, it does serve a purpose in that is vitally important for gun rights supporters to remain vigilant to what is going on. The Leftists fully realize the present strength of the pro gun side and are working relentlessly to build more of an opposing consensus by fanning the flames of public outrage at every opportunity. They're no going to stop and we can't afford to get complacent because we've seen how drastically things can change these days.

Gun rights citizens must stay informed and in touch and be able to virtually act as an ambassador or credible source of info when these issues get raised.

I honestly feel nothing. I had an opinion and I expressed it. If people don't agree with it, that's cool. I'm not the type to get all hissy pissy because someone doesn't like what I have to say. It's their right to hate it and dispute it. It's just a conversation on a pretty hot topic. If this same question was posed to a board that wasn't filled with god fearing, gun toting, southern folk then I probably would have more upvotes because the general population outside of the South wants all guns removed from general public. I invite those idiots to build a town and see how long their town stays running.

I'm Yankee as frick, Republican, and sort of an Atheist. I'm all for abortion, gay people doing their thing, and women being allowed to back talk. I'm a little bit racist and I eat vegetables with my steak. I also down-voted the shite out of you. I think you're an idiot for your views and a pussy for not putting your friend in his place.

frick you and good day.

Build precincts at every police station that are manned 24/7 that can sell weapons and ammo to citizens who have the proper documentation and background check approval.

Should we check with police before exercising any other rights? Any other constitutional amendments we want to run by our local police station before we can proceed? You also say the police can sell weapons...you mean a knife, a hammer, or a pen?

From Nov. 1998 to Dec. 2014 the NICS system has denied 1.1 million 4473 background checks. In the year of 2014 alone they denied 90,000 4473 background checks.

FBI Stats

The laws already exist for mentally ill citizens to not be able to buy guns. The states don't share the files that would establish someone as not fit to legally own a firearm.

Adam Lanza went to a store to buy a firearm and was denied. However, he stole his mothers firearm. If bad people want to kill someone they will find whatever tool they can that will allow them to do that. This is fact of life that has been around since the human race has existed.

For the FFL to call in a 4473 you have to answer all of the questions on the 4473 with the correct answer. Because if you answer yes to any of the questions after the first its an automatic denial and it isn't called in. So if is gets to the point where the background check is called in and you get denied you just committed a crime. So those 1.1 million denials above are all crimes.

It would take me forever to address everything wrong with the OP but that was the first one that sprung to mind.
