I wouldn't ever do something like that to a guest who has stated they have an allergy or something...
but ONE thing I've done is with my husband. He has never ever tasted coffee....because he hates the smell he won't even taste it. But a few years ago I heard the Barefoot Contessa talking about how coffee enhances chocolate flavor, and so when making boxed brownie mixes I started using coffee instead of the water that the directions called for. My husband raved about how extra good the brownies tasted and I've been doing it ever since. He still doesn't know and still says coffee has never passed his lips....

Reminds me of Mark Helprin's character in Memoirs from Antproof Case.

Bakers have specifically purchased high gluten flour for a very long time. Best for pizza, bagels, and multigrain loaves. But apparently...
Ignorant.

My god you are dense.
Do I really have to spell it out for you like a drooling retard?
When I say that "they didn't know what gluten was a few years ago"
I directly reference soccer moms. Yuppies. All the helicopter parents responsible for the "allergic to everything" crap. The anti-vaccers.
Come on! It wasn't a hidden message.

You are posting about giving people AIDS and I'm the drooling retard. Sorry you are an ignorant fool.

I had never heard of this book until your post. I googled it...sounds interesting. I might have to read it!
