Done it a lot, ironically, the best sex I had with an ex post break up, was with an ex that sex was part of the reason for the break up

I guess I’m the odd ball out in this thread. Happened a few times with one girl I used to date, and after that I had a policy to not let it happen again. As much as people like to pretend it’s not, sex is a pretty emotional thing and it just introduces a lot of complicated feelings to the whole situation. When I break it off with a girl now, I shun them like the Amish.

I've had relatively uncommon experiences with my ex's though. We were usually friendly (or even friends) after splitting. Can't think of a serious ex-gf (probably 4 or 5 girls) that I'm not cool with or wouldn't be cool with if I ran into her. I ultimately broke it off with all but one of them. Maybe that has something to do with it. The one who dumped me really f'd me up though. 19 year old me went out like a real ho. Learned a lot from that. We're still cool though.
