I've been to several. Good times.
The wrestlers get to try different things with their characters and move set to see how the crowd reacts. It's a good time to see heels/faces go against what they do on TV and see how it works for them.
The wrestlers are also much more interactive and will play to the crowd. Big Show must've chopped Jack Swagger 20 times in the corner just because the crowd kept chanting "one more time" every single time. Show was having fun, Swagger not so much.
Title changes are rare. Chalk the AJ one up to being in Madison Square Garden. Only other time that happens is if someone is hurt or just violated a Wellness Policy.

Yeah - I saw Edge and Triple H have a comedy match - something you'd never see on Raw, but it was great.

This is why no one wants to jump your car. They feel weird interacting with someone who's coked out and wearing a WWE championship wrestling belt.

yeah, long time ago.
early 90's.
there was a battle royal but the main thing I remember about it was that The Bushwackers were in it. Luke & Butch came out separately of course but both were immediately eliminated. They both did that crazy walk of theirs to the ring and were both tossed over instantly. Then they walked back arms pumping right back down the aisle. Everybody was cracking up

I went to an NXT house show last year in NOLA. The Revival are amazing workers and were going at it with this one guy in the crowd the whole match. Oney Lorcan had the crowd going nuts with him constantly putting his opponent in the armbar.

no but I went to both WCW and ECW house shows in BR back in the 90's.
Actually i did go to a WWF house show in like 1991 or something when i was real little. It was awesome.

when i was in high school a friend of the family was an executive for the company that managed the Centroplex (river center). When i found out WWF Raw was coming to town, asked my old man to give him a call to see what he could do.
Second row tix. Was a blast but glad i did it in high school, no desire to ever go back to one of those
