I met chris benoit IRL in 2000 behind the new orleans arena.
They were doing a smackdown taping, was down there during the day and the wrestlers were showing up at the arena. Rented car pulls up, its Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Jericho and Saturn. (Got pics with them, jerry lawler, team xtreme, kurt angle, and undertaker)
Standing next to chris, who was in full on sleeveless and neckless gym shirt..dude murdered his family with his hands..I was no one to him. I mean, frick..what if he had snapped then?..just 1 too many camera flashes. I couldnt imagine having to fight off an enraged and murderous Benoit for real.
There would be a little memorial cross or some bullshite for me on the side of magnolia st.

The dogs are in the enclosed pool area is low key a phrase people have used for years now in regards to guys who are probably CTE’d to oblivion. Antonio Brown is probably the next one that it will be used for

Benoit was an extremely intense guy who gave his all from the start — he strived for perfection in his craft and had various pressures coming at him from all directions, starting from the beginning due to his smallish stature... he was always a very serious guy with a lot of mental fragility, questioning himself yet forcing himself to perform... and I’m sure all the head shots/concussions and constant pressure to perform didn’t help matters any
