I saw that. The renderings showing cars parked right on the tree roots...

The three people that ride their bikes on Dalrymple Can be extremely gay without holding up traffic.

Man LSU makes some stupid arse decisions. They should have built 3-4 more parking garages years ago. That way they could eliminate huge lots like the commuter lot by CEBA and turn some of that back into green space or future use for new buildings. But. I’m sure that just makes too much sense.

Facility Services will drive over roots, on sidewalks, and park wherever they damn well please.

During the year that I worked full-time at LSU I had to pay $100+, the minimum, to walk from Aster to Pleasant Hall.
LSU has never given a shite about it’s emplo or accessible parking.
UGA’s campus is the exact opposite, because the interior campus is accessible throughout the day. Also, students get parking spots specific to an individual lot or garage, rather than a general zone classification.

That huge lot by CEBA fits 400+ RVs all paying between $1100 and $1400 for the season. It ain't going anywhere
The last Parking Garage turned out to be twice as expensive as originally planned and has been a collossal financial loss for the university. No one wants to pay the prices they charge to park in there.

The projections they had for that were waaaay off. Getting reamed on that deal overall. Eventually it will even out but it’s gonna take a long time.
The idea is to make the campus experience less automobile centric, other than those that have to be there. Some of y’all don’t remember going to school back when you could virtually park wherever you want and drive through campus. College kids can’t fricking drive. When I was here we had like 2-3 kids getting hit every other week.
Campus walkability and bike accessible is the narrative. You park and you shuttle or bus, or walk. That’s the idea. Overall safety and making campus less congested.

I'd love to see statistics on how campus continues to be "unsafe" after "Easy Streets II" was completed.
The only time I have ever seen an unsafe event was when a pedestrian entered a crosswalk and a Tiger Trails bus did not see him. I grabbed the dude's backpack just as he was about to step in front of the bus.
Most cars within the "core" during working hours are faculty and staff
