Do you ever come across flying squirrels? When I was a kid, some man my dad worked with.. I want to say he lived in the Saint Francisville area, he would catch one every once in awhile and give it my daddy to give to me. My daddy rigged up a collar for it, and put it on a nylon string and I would tie it around a button on my shirt and put it in my front shirt pocket. It would sleep on my pocket and sometimes come out and walk around on me, but eventually we would let them go.

Yes, I came across a nest of flyers in Country Club of LA, three summers ago.

They popped out of a hole in the tree as soon as we cratered the tree to the ground.

Their eyes were open, they had fur and they were super alert.

I tried to catch a couple but even concussed by the tree falling, they were faster than me.

That’s pretty cool.

Next time you come to Mandeville can you cut down a palm tree for me?
TIA.

Haha.
Yeah frick that tree.
I’ve climbed three palms in LA, around the Lakeshore actually.

Just trims, although I wanted to kill them.

Non native tree species piss me off.

Palm trees in Louisiana is a joke. They rot so fast.

People should just plant live oaks down there, but oaks are too slow growing for their patience.

Fun fact, you have to wet a rag with warm water and rub his nuts to make him pee. If not, they will die of infection.

You could just lick them and get the same result.
