A patient of mine that was unable to walk since polio when she was little; used one of these and it was the only time she enjoyed life. But this one is an eye sore and I only thought they were in rehab places/nursing homes.

Thread kind of went typical OT, but I somewhat agree with the OP. We’ve been taking our kids to the Grand Hotel every year for the past 7-8 years. This year our daughter was old enough to watch her brothers in the room for an hour or two. So we go out to the adult pool. While out there we planned a quick two night trip for just the two of us. We spent most of an afternoon at the adult only pool. Awesome view of the bay. Except for this monster of a lift with a cover over it. This place isn’t exactly easy to get around for people in wheelchairs. Just to get to this pool requires some ramps. I know it is required but they stuck it in the worst place. There is also a nice indoor pool that has one but it is more for laps.

Lol. We got out there, cracked some beers, and immediate lightning. Everyone has to get out of the pool. We waited about 40 minutes then went back to the room. But I checked on some dates at work and realized we could come without kids for a few days before school started.

No but I’m laugh when I see a 8k gallon hotel pool that cost 10k to build have one of these things installed.
Prob cost more than the pool.
