I love the ones trying to sell me a car warranty. I tell them I own a '57 Chevy. They hang up right away.

I frick with spam callers when I have time. Most hang up immediately but some play along and finally curse me out in the end.

A while back I decided I’d waste their time.

So they called and told me cops would come, they’d take everything... etc.

I decided I’d talk to them in a old man voice so they’d assume maximum vulnerability.

They said I had to pay, but in target gift cards.

I told them that I didn’t have target gift cards, but I did have a bunch of build a bear gift cards and asked him if that would work. He got very mad at that.

My wife was actually naive enough to fall for this scam. I couldn't believe she fell for it. I also wasn't happy about her giving away $2000 in fricking gift cards. I have tried to frick with these people for months when they call and can't seem to keep them on the phone for more than a couple minutes.

I'd like to cut my wife a little slack given they had two different people call during this scam, spoofing two different numbers to appear as if they were calling from our local police department and the social security office. Of course I was in a wedding that day (she was coming later) and not with her when they called.

I can attest that they will call from your local police departments number. I used to hate it when they called, now it’s my entertainment.

But yeah, they said I had to pay in target gift cards.... lmao.

verizon actually has a pretty good spam blocker.

also have Hiya app on my phone so, spam calls have dropped dramatically.
