Haven’t heard any updates lately, were they able to demolish safely since COVID restricted people from stirring around?

Did they ever decide who is at fault on collapse?

Pretty much gone. Canal street is either fully open or almost all the way open. Rampart will need repairs plus the streetcar lines will need to be rebuilt.

Engineer is at fault last I heard, but I am sure there is plenty to go around.

It's a double lot now thanks to the collapse. Whatever gets built will probably be bigger.

Rumor on the street is that the original developer will make another run at developing the site. They were LaToya’s largest campaign donors for many years so she probably will support them in this....
Should be interesting...

Why would they not? Owns adjacent lots and will just start a new LLC. Other than needing deviations not sure how they could stop him.
