Probably one of the bigger ovation a visiting team's player will get from the opposing team's fans
Cubs @ Dodgers - 4/25/76
2... let's just assume completely stoned... hippies ran onto the field at Dodger Stadium and proceeded to try to set the American flag on fire... right there in the outfield
in runs Cubs OF Rick Monday who snatches the flag off the turf before the hippies could strike the match and set the flag ablaze
even the board operators at Dodger Stadium put up "Great Play, Rick Monday" on the scoreboard to show appreciation to him for keeping the flag from being burned
