I just returned from 10 days in Japan with my son and his Japanese girl friend,several of their friends as well.While their looks are as delicious as shown here, what I found intriguing is that their cultural DNA makes them the female Japanese version of Southern Gentlemen, on steroids.

It is their culture for a Japanese female to focus on the male, doing everything she can do to make his life easier. A male would never think to carry an arm full of packages, it s her duty to do that.An elderly Japanese lady was struggling to pull a full trash bag out of a trash can; I simply walked over to hold the can down and she stepped back, eyes/mouth wide open & my son told me that I had scared her, that no Japanese male would have even thought of doing that. If a Japanese male is having trouble taking his shoes off...to enter a restaurant, temple, house... the female will automatically drop to her knee and remove it for him. Waiting in line to catch a bus, she will literally trot down the street a bit to catch the number of the next bus & come back and tell him.She will stand aside as he enters a door first. My son has been dating her for close to a year and said that he gave up fighting this cultural difference in the first 6 mths

There are several companies who hire Americans to teach English to Japanese children. They also hire Americans to teach English to children through out Far East but China, for one, is a lot more restrictive for obvious reasons. Most require a one year contract and the pay is decent, not great but the travel perks are good. No Japanese speaking required.
