Gunshots, ambulances, police sirens, helicopters, bombs on Wed (7AM-3PM) in NOLA

The 911 operators in Orleans Parish will need back-up to handle the phone calls from residents who are unaware of the major Active Shooter Drills tomorrow along the Port of New Orleans. Old women are going be hunkered down as the helicopters circle above their homes while bombs explode in the background, gunshot noise scares the family pets, and sirens from across the city race to the Port. In other words its just another day in the Big Easy!

Coast Guard, city officials to hold active shooter drill
NEW ORLEANS- The Coast Guard and local officials are scheduled to hold an active shooter drill at the Port of New Orleans Cruise Terminal from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday.
Residents and community members around the New Orleans cruise terminal should expect large numbers of public safety personnel, equipment, sirens and simulated gunfire. This is a test of staff and equipment and will not pose a threat to the public.
Due to operational considerations, no media will be allowed near the cruise terminal.
Organized by the Coast Guard, this important drill will simulate a full-scale response to a large-scale attack. It will include coordination between the following responding agencies:

Port of New Orleans
New Orleans Police, Fire, and EMS
Local Parish Sherriff’s Offices
