Good shite guys. I feel like this has been a Parish support group.

Have y'all been to Val reiss recently? Went to watch a cousin play travel ball and there is a freaking bar above the concession stand. Everything is new and it's pretty bad arse.

People I knew on Hermitage. Sam Fradella, Ronnie Couvillion, Larry Bordelon.

I coached my nephew at rebel just before Katrina and said screw this crap. Parents all thought their kid was the next Griffey or Maddox.

I drove by it about a year ago. It's an incredible complex. They really did everything top notch.

Did they ever build that "train" that was supposed to go around Versailles Park?

FEMA money. I was on a team who won at least 10 consecutive mixed league titles on the big diamond before Katrina hit.

I had a dad yell at me while I had his 10yr old throwing a bullpen. The kid kept throwing side armed and trying to throw curve balls. When I stopped him he told me I was an idiot and that LSU was already looking at his kid.

My son played a tournament there this summer. Was much better than expected.

Yeah I was stunned.
Yeah, it's come a long way from the old Versailles on the corner is STB Hwy and Paris Rd with the jail and plant in the outfield.

ColdDuck, I don't want to give up too much to the OT detectives, but my brother's first initial was S and my sister's was J. Lived on the canal side just a few houses from Jean Lafitte.

The best was sneaking off campus from CHS and getting a goodys snowball or the butcherboy special from tags. I know I wasn't the only one who did this.

Had one of my shining moments at that park. I was the QB for Vista. I took a QB sneak 50 yds for a TD, they called it back for a penalty. Next snap, same play, 60 yds.. Touchdown. I was 8.

911, I was closer to Evangeline on the canal side. Went to HC, then LSU now live in BR. HC class of "early 90s"

Don't you dare dog cuse the original Versailles park. Besides the tennis courts at Vista, Versailles was the easiest place to hit homers, with the orange fences and all.

Gto, dam I don't know any of those names. I was there from birth until I left for LSU in the early 90s. Parents stayed until Katrina, now it is still just an empty lot.
