Oklahoma wins over K-state in 2003. It's USC vs. OU in the title game. Saban never wins a natty. Do LSU fans still care as much now? Is Les ranked ahead of Saban because of the natty in 2007 now?

Wasn't Oklahoma still #1 and LSU was barely ahead of USC at #2? The outcomes would've been the same.

Charles "The Hammer" Martel loses at Tours.

Christianity is likely wiped out in Europe for the most part if this happens. France would have inevitably fallen, and Italy soon afterwards. Considering that Christianity was pretty fragile in Britain in the 7th century, it is possible that with Christianity failing in continental Europe that the heathens prevail in Britain.

It is likely that without Charles Martel, Christianity likely would have been completely wiped out in the proceeding centuries.

I am going to disagree with you here, kb. My understanding is that Charles was sent with something of a rump force, as he was a still a second-wifed "bastard" (not in the sense of what we think) son who was trying to make his own way, and that Frankia had an enormous force ready and waiting for the Umayyads if they actually advanced past Charles' rump force. As I understand it, even the Umayyads generally recognize that they didn't have the capability to really sustain expansion beyond the Pyrenees and this was more or less a recon-in-force (like the Romans did across the Rhine all the time for about 400 years).

What if the Jews do not revolt against Rome in 66AD?

Most important Jewish revolt is the Bar Kokhba revolt in 132 AD. That, more than anything else, is what sent the eastern Mediterranean Jewish population to flee.

The Romans so thoroughly destroyed them that they had to intentionally repopulate an entire productive province (Cyrenaica - imagine if Libya today was a mostly Jewish state). The First and Second Revolts were brutal, but the Third Revolt was the real Thor's Hammer; it's not like the Romans hadn't dealt with repeated revolts from subjugated peoples before (the Gauls, the Britons, and especially the Iberians). They leveled Judiac culture - which they actually quite respected because of its ancient and traditional nature - to send a message to the East.

Not only that, 700 years of Ummayyad rule didn't wipe out Christianity in Iberia.

While true, the Umayyad's were good at using disaffected groups to buttress their forces.

I'm shocked this hasn't been posted yet...Trindon Holliday as a pass-rushing DE.

Lee was terrified of Alabama He threw 7 interceptions and 1 touchdown in 58 career attempts. Alabama was his boogeyman

He did all of that is freshman and sophomore year. Lee tourched Bama the small amount of time he played his junior year. His senior year he played less than half a quarter vs Bama with no chance to redeem himself.

Thank god Les is gone. He forever embarrassed LSU.

Correct. The only real "coulda been" here is USC beating Cali and making the cut for the CG but you could also say if LSU beat Florida it woulda prevented a lot of left coasters from whining about the process cheating them.

Mark Richt saves a timeout for the end of the 2012 SECCG...takes timeout...comes up with a play...Dawgs execute it perfectly, score a winning TD, expire regulation time and BAMA goes down...UGA goes on to manhandle Notre Dame in the championship.

oh what could have been...
