Great Card Tricks

In my younger years, I was a professional magician in high school, college and many years after at restaurants and what not. I can truly appreciate sleight-of-hand as opposed to all of the stage magic which incorporates illusions and all other stuff where a bunch of science and lack of visibility is involved.

David Copperfield's video that you have shared, "a dream of aces", is a classic trick that has been performed by many artists over a long period of time, and I would say it is my favorite trick I enjoyed performing tableside.

To this day, I truly enjoy watching magic where sleight-of-hand is the basis of the effect, it doesn't matter that I know how it may be done, that just makes me appreciate the art even more because I know the level of difficulty it takes to pull it off smoothly.

I equate it to a professional sports. Sure, I know how to play baseball, and football but I could never go play for the Yankees or the Patriots.

fricking YouTube comments have ruined my innocence.

The hours of practice and preparation has to be in the thousand of hours. I can appreciate the skill it takes to perform those illusions.
