Government Fines

I’ve seen all these companies getting fined hundreds of millions and Facebook was just fined $5 billion. Where does that money go? I was the one impacted by these data breaches but why don’t I get any of the fine? I know it is the govt and they will pocket every bit of it but what do they claim they do with it?

They spend it like they do with all the money they get from taxes.
