Got the best phone call yesterday.

I had a dog with an ex 9 years ago. We split up and I took my dog to my parent’s house because I traveled 6-7 months out of the year for work. My parents had a lab that was very territorial and it didn’t work out between them.

My ex agreed to take the dog for a bit until I could get home and move into another house. She moved and had to put the dog up for adoption (without telling me). He was a full breed and was adopted in about 10 minutes of being there.

A lady called me yesterday because she was cleaning out a closet and found his old collar and called the number on the tag. We talked for a bit about how great he was doing. I sent some pictures to her of him as a puppy and young stud, and she sent me some pictures of my now old long lost buddy.

I wish I could have done better by him. It was the best phone call I have ever received.
