Sorry to hear. I've never been laid off but had to sweat out massive lay offs a few times. Good luck starting over.

I don't see why you couldn't get a job in SE LA.

Also, Healthcare Revenue Cycle Executive may make sense on a resume, but no one here knows wtf that is.
I looked it up. He processes and tracts medical claims.

I can, but I'm limited to the Lafayette/Lake Charles area. My son lives in Jennings. Just makes it more difficult at my level when geography is limited.

So you work in the accounts receivable department of a hospital? I'm trying to help you but you're not helping me help you very much.

Seems like you could fall into just about any HR role.

Something will come up. People typically land pretty close to where you were.

My advice is to get a resume to a head hunter and continue to look on your own.

90 days is a good deal vs. giving you a few weeks severance. But 90 days will also fly by, so get your name out there.

Dude, a lot of people deal with this. I'm an IT guy, I CHOOSE to stay in NOLA.

Get your priorities straight. Is it child or money? 60k or 120k? Many people are in that position.

Yeah, sorry. Revenue Cycle is the billing side of healthcare. Insurance companies/patient billing. Get what you can from either the insurance company, patient, or both. Think of it as your company sees 10 patients...how can you maximize cash for those 10 visits by doing your best to NOT bill the patient if you can help it. It's nice to keep patients out of it...loved that part of the job
