Nah, you are anthropomorphizing AI. It's more likely to behave similarly to the cancer cure or note writing example rather than becoming self aware and seeking power or to block the development of other AI

We should all be worried about super advanced AI. Think of a super intelligent being with a mind as ruthless as an insect.

Part of me wonders WHY we have to develop this technology. The risk really is that great.

Problem. The human race does not universally share the same values. See: America. See: Radical Islam and Western Society. See: Climate Change advocacy and those who deny climate change theories. See: Atheists and people who believe in the reality of God.
