Hope you catch a foul ball or something.

I've been to a many Angels games in SoCo and even a Dodgers vs San Fran

But the foul ball catches are a diamond in the rough. I've been close in the college world series but never in a MLB event

foul ball catches

I caught one at an Astros game. Felt bad because I reached over a little kid that was sitting next to me to grab it. Gave him the ball and told him I didn't want it to go to someone else. He held on that ball with a tight grip for the rest of the game.

But I did fall into the Angels outfield during pre game

I was approached by "security" and I was approved to stay

I was trying to snag a ball as it came around left field but my GF's brother didn't have the strength to hold me and I plopped in the warning track

Husband said when he was a kid they went to spring training games at the Peoria ballpark all the time(he lived right by that ballpark). Him and his friends would fight over foul balls that went outside the park.

The players at the spring training games are very interactive with the fans. They will throw balls to fans (mostly kids) from the dugout during the game. Or you can line up at the fence and they will sign stuff for you before the game.

I guess the only way I'll get a foul ball is with a kid

What do you mean by this?

A needle in a haystack?

A silk purse from a sow's ear?

Water over the dam?

There was a kid in front of us. He must have been like 4-5. He had his little mitt ready the entire game. Every time players would throw balls from the dugout he would just stand there with his mitt out. Each time player wouldn't throw to him and you could see his face just fall each time.

I think if I would have caught a foul ball I would have considered given it to that kid.

Baseball is a game of failures. Good for him to learn that early. A successful hitter fails 70% of the time.

You're telling me a one time college baseball player that 30% is good?
