Sucks that it's mid week.

I'll be on the water somewhere. I spent last night mapping out all the public launches near the house. I want to paddle over to the lighthouse on the lake; if I don't get to it this weekend we may do it on the 4th.

Morning guys.

No 4th plans aside from waking up early to ride so I don’t have to deal with fireworks. I don’t have a death wish

Thinking about taking the day off and pulling the boat to Gulfport and heading out to Ship Island with some friends and a few gallons of home made margaritas.

Pulling out the big jam box and blasting some Radio Margaritaville and No Shoes Nation.

Then planting a beach umbrella and a few chairs in a foot of water and chilling out for the day while grilling some specks.

Then head to the Beau Rivage for fireworks and blackjack.

Other than that, prolly not doing too much.

I fish there a few times a week. If I hear any god awful Jimmy Buffet blaring when I’m fishing out there we’re gonna have to discuss this at Sonic

If you take your own boat, it’s just 10-12 miles out in the gulf following the markers and you pull around to the beach/gulf front side.

You’re not an hour+ sitting on the ferry. Then you have to haul your gear across to the beach in a herd of sweating humanity.

Of course if squall comes up, it’s a less terrifying trip in, on the ferry.

ETA: I thought I heard a radio ad yesterday that Margaritaville Hotel Biloxi has started a new ferry service out there.

And be careful if going around to the west. I’ve seen so many people get stuck on that sandbar hauling arse and not knowing it’s there.
