I'm passing a kidney stone. Wish me luck!

I hope you have some good pain meds

I should have saved some from last time. I'm only posting bc I have that nervous energy because I know it's about to get way worse.

It gets too bad can always go to urgent care or ER

Sorry, dude. That stinks. My husband has had two of them, starting in late 30s. He was advised to take a magnesium citrate supplement to reduce his risk. Apparently, magnesium oxide is hard on the stomach. He's not had another issue with it. I'm just passing along the info. LSUnurse is much more qualified to provide advice.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Not really. I only worked on the Peds floor when I worked at The bedside. Kids don’t really get kidney stones so I don’t know that much about caring for someone with them.
I just know it’s a legit reason for pain medication.

Didn't know that you were a pediatric nurse. I stand corrected.
Thank you for what you do. I've had one of my babies in an extended stay at the hospital (years ago), and it was the nurses who provided so much comfort.

I loved the kids I cared for over the years. I just got burned out working at the bedside. Needed a change.
I do miss all the positive interactions with the kids and their families.
