I was going to be making it inside where it’s 68°.

The recipes are in a Lafaytte cookbook that is a Tobasco Award Winning one, Cajun Men Cook.

if you don't know how to de-slime the okra, then don't do it

You don’t put okra in a chicken and sausage gumbo.

I think I’m going to make a deer meat spaghetti.

Hunting season is right around the corner and i gotta make room for more meat.

I thought the okra slime helped thicken the gumbo?

Guess I’m going no okra route which would be an abomination in North LA.

Doc, Frogger, Liz, Butch, Nursely, et al...

Late start today, 4th of July guests cleared out.

Time for me to pound sand (it’s locked in the asphalt’s matrix).

Deer sausage can be hit or miss based on mixture. Too much deer and it falls apart in the gumbo.

Go with the Manda

I make it in an old cast iron pot with oil & flower. Usually turns out ok.

I know it’s a thing but don’t don’t like the flavor.

Thanks Gang

Personally I use okra in seafood gumbo but not chicken and sausage.

To each is own though

You should probably check with your husband first. He may rather andouille over green onion.
