Raptors are Bro trucks meant for showing off. They serve no purpose
They drive like sports cars but ride like Cadillacs. Great for bombing the mean streets of New Orleans. I slow down for absolutely 0 potholes/huge bumps/pavement shifts and upheavals. Have you ever driven one? I've owned a couple I really don't think there is a better all around vehicle for the money.

Your point about checking the shock maintenance makes more sense now. My first thought was that most raptors probably don’t need that but you proved me wrong.

I had an 18' F150 with the 3.5 ecoboost motor. Ran like a scalded dog. However, the transmission starting shifting really hard between 3-4 gear and also 8-9 gears. I read somewhere that the 17-18 were the first couple of years that they came out with that 10 speed transmission and they had a lot of issues with them.

Also, it started overheating when climbing hills with the cruise control on. I had to replace the thermostat to a newer design because the one that came with it was defective in those year models.

Just some things to consider. I traded it in on a 24' F150 with the 5.0 liter coyote motor and absolutely love it.

Edited to add that the 4WD vacuum line/check valve went bad and had to replace that. $30 part but it was the devil trying to diagnose it. Kept grinding in the wheels while at low speed.

They still probably don't but that is the recommended service interval for normal street use. Shorter mileage for more off road involved.

I get spoiled and have to remind myself when driving a sports car in the city that I need to slow the F down before I tear something up.
