Everything going great. Both busy with our work, but it will pay off before we know it. Ready to have some time for traveling here soon.

LL if you are too fat I should just give up now.

My sister decided to do a NYE party since our friends who have done it for a decade plus now have a baby. So I am helping her with the food and we have not finalized the menu either.

I'm not doing a damn thing for NYE and I'm quite ok with that.

Might go out to eat for an early dinner or just go pick up take out from a nice restaurant. Sit at home with our dogs so they don't freak out over the fireworks.

Well any ideas you want to share are welcome. So far, I have

1. shrimp cocktail

2. a hot chocolate bar - making a homemade hot chocolate in the crock pot and will have whipped cream, crushed candy canes, crumbles reese, etc. And also some Baileys or Frangelico or Peppermint Schnapps to spike it

Nurse - That doesn't sound bad either. A quiet NYE at home. Last year was when Lucy was sick so I didn't drink much at our party and I carried her heavy self around. Mostly wished I had one of those dog strollers

Well Payson (the lab mix) is still hanging in there. It was April when he was diagnosed with the liver mass. So realistically...this should be his last NYE.

Ohhh. We did make a killer ceviche recently. Good idea.

I was wondering how he was doing.

My sister wants to do a play on traditional new years day foods. Mostly because she wants to make my grandmother's cabbage casserole. So I am doing pork tenderloin. I am assuming there will be black eyed peas also lol.

It will be mostly all family so we know no one is cooking those foods the next day.

I love NYD foods. Cabbage is easily a top 3 vegetable for me. So underrated.

Could also make fresh hot apple cider.

Get a good liquor to add to it if someone wanted to (ex: pumpkin spice rum, etc).

I thought about this as well. I personally think it is horrible, but people seem to love it.
