They finally diagnosed me. I thought it was something pinched because I have a bad neck and back. It’s a nerve condition called “ acute brachial neuritis” or Parsonage Turner Syndrome. I’ve mostly lost use of my left hand.
Going to take a mechanics glove and some Velcro strips today and try to make a glove that I can grip the foregrip of a fishing rod. Thinking of putting strips on the fingers to hold them down. I can still pump my arm but can’t grip anything.

Thanks Armymann and Hangit. Armymann if your wife is dealing with chronic pain I feel for her. They offered the strong opiates to me but I’ve never cared for them and have seen too many folks hooked. Neurotin is working and I think I’m through the worst phase which was a bitch cause all I had was Advil.
