when you've had a dog pass away once or multiple times, does it cause people to avoid becoming too attached to their new dogs because you know what's coming?

Not on purpose!! I was told that frenchies need to be inseminated. My bff has a male frenchie and he’s Emmy’s boyfriend. They come over a lot and he got to her when she was in heat.

And now we’re gonna have puppies. And get her fixed.

I think... and this is just me... it's something you know either going into it or after coming to love them so deeply. Dogs are special friends and what you get to have with them is worth the pain in the end.

No you can get a dog fixed at anytime although it’s better for males to be fixed young before puberty and females after.

I actually got my frenchie because her previous owner wanted to breed her and she didn’t go into heat the 2 years he had her.

Another reason I thought I was safe.
