Someone once wrote to Ann Landers disgusted that she was served Pickled Tongue, saying how could they serve something that had been in an animals mouth.
Ann replied, ask for an egg.

shocked it was this close. There appears to be a lot of lunatics in this area.
Republican Hugh Keating, longtime Mississippi lawyer and community leader, has been elected as the next mayor of Gulfport.
Keating ran against Democrat Sonya Williams Barnes, a former Mississippi State Representative, in the high-profile race. Keating received 6,902 votes (53.2%), while Barnes received 6,073 (46.8%). These numbers include absentee ballots.
Election officials reported that 491 affidavit ballots were received. There were also 109 mail-in ballots requested. Even if Barnes recieved all the affidavit and absentee ballots, it would still not be enough to win.
Keating held a campaign party at Centennial Plaza Tuesday night. Around 11 p.m., no official results were in, but his campaign felt confident about the position he was in. Results were reported to WLOX News around 12:45 a.m. Wednesday. Results will officially be certified in the coming days.

Was holding my breath on this one. Brother is Gulfport FD’s chief Engineer. His job was on the line if Barnes won.

Explain to me what a Fire Dept Chief Engineer duties are in a town like Gulfport?

I'm shocked only about 13000 people voted in G-port. That's how lunatics get elected.

I am still not sold on getting a big batch of Capybara strip steaks.
I remember when Winn Dixie was a decent grocery store. Maybe they will get better now that Aldi owns them.

that is how we got a DeStroya's second term and an OPSD chief who knows nothing about jails and law enforcement.
Posted on 6/5/25 at 11:31 am to profdillweed
His main duty is training the firemen and first responders.

She actually has an extensive history in law enforcement and a law degree from Tulane
I’m not saying she knows how to run a jail but that’s why you delegate
