I don’t know what to say. I mean, it’s sort of an improvement on the very dry McKenzie’s king cake of my youth.

But I don’t think I’d ever want to try orange dreamsicle or almond joy king cakes.

Last year I went to Robert’s on highland and got a few I liked there. But I don’t remember where they were from.

Only dog I’ve ever met that I actively hate.

I can't stand the little wimpy, yappy, dust mop dogs, and why do people feel like they have to bring them along when they are guests at someone else's house?

Lord, those were terrible. Bascially, French bread with colored powder sugar on top. (which never stayed on, btw)

The dog only likes them and growls when anyone else looks at her. I want to punt the little bitch every time I see her. I did tell them to bring her along bc they didn’t have anyone to stay with the dog and couldn’t come otherwise. Hope they plan on drugging her tonight bc the fireworks show usually lasts 30-45 minutes.

ETA: sometimes that extends over to bratty little ankle biters too

Mrs. Vette's making that, too.

Cabbage for money.
Black-eyed peas for luck?
Brisket for health?

Hey butch!!

I went to high school with one of the Haydels and she’d bring king cakes on Fridays.

It’s a sentimental favorite lol. I may run down there this year and get one.
