I didn’t take DW’s last name. It’s a bit different in Latin culture though. I wouldn’t have taken my baby daddy’s last name if having a different last name than my baby wasn’t a huge headache medically.

I think there is no right and wrong thing with the name thing and you do what works best for you and your spouse.

I still have my former married name. As I mentioned in other thread…it’s actually the same as my grandmother’s maiden name (no relation). I kept it to honor her memory and feel connected to her.

Yeah I don’t get people taking it so personally. You discuss it, come to an agreement, that’s it.

My mom kept my dads last name because of us. My stepdad respected her decision.
