im somewhat familiar with the site but not that much. the upvoting thing is good and bad imo. its good because legit posts get knocked up to the top but its bad because it forces a lot of humor.

gf will be sitting there dying laughing at posts and im literally trying to force myself to crack a smile.

You can easily lurk.

You don't need anything but a username to join either.

You can make 10 handles in like 5 minutes if you wanted.

you can just lurk but you can also just sign up and post. its a weird site depending on what board youre on. some are very relaxed but some are monitored really closely.
