actually I did... I don't remember the city but it was somewhere in NC. But I remember vividly the corny strip club DJ coming over the songs saying in the creepy strip club voice "you're at the number one strip club in the all American city"

CSB of the day

Good part of the story is the next day I borrowed someone's car and their iPhone and was tracking my phone while driving... well all the sudden I pull up to a military base. They gave me the freaking 3rd degree when I told them I was just trying to get my iPhone but wasn't in the military. After some pleading and explaining everything they let me on base and said to go STRAIGHT to that persons house where my phone is and STRAIGHT back off base. The MP said if they catch me making a wrong turn 'it's your fricking arse'... needless to say I pull up in a neighborhood and I see the car I ride in the night before and a girl is sitting in it. It was ge guy's wife and sure enough we looked under the seats and my phone was there....

Come to find out the area I was going was pretty close to some marine special forces training area or something and the MP said if my phone showed a location about a half mile further than I'd have been shite out of luck.

That's dumb luck. I've forgotten my CAC before and had to have my roommate bring it to me because the MP refused to let me on Post without it. After that, I got counseled by my CoC for failing to secure sensitive info.

oh it was super dumb luck... I think it was such and outlandish story and the fact I was holding an iPhone with a blinkimg beacon showing the location of another iPhone located in this cul de sac, I think they bought the story...

Also, I didn't even have my DL on me and only a LA state issued ID and was driving someone else's car registered in DC

To top the entire thing off, I didn't notice until on base that the guy's car was almost out of gas. But the MP told me to not veer off track. When I got to the phone I asked the lady if there were any gas stations on base and she said they were closed for the night (wasn't even much last dark), so I had to sputter on fumes hoping I didn't run out of gas getting off base ....


my CSB leaving my phone in an uber in bum frick NC after a night at the skrip club this past spring.... damn I end up with some weird arse stories way too often
