Good Morning Tidal. sounds like the visit to the youngun's went well? glad you are home safely.
Saturday was a huge day. Up at 5, to the barn to pick up daughters and horses and trailer to horse show. Back to the barn by 1145a, unload horses and tack, then trailer to Asheville about 2 hours+ to pick up a horse that has been in time out and back home. Unload THAT horse then home to shower and go to a party...The party meant nothing but they had a band of great local musicians that made it worth it. Friend of ours is a great guitarist with a lot of connections and those guys could ALL play really well. In bed by about 11....took about 30 seconds to check out.

Doing pretty good. Family in Houston are still holding (barely). I have family in Lake Charles that evacuated luckily and family in Lafayette that are worried now.
Wish Harvey would go ahead and roll out but it looks like that son of a bitch is hell bent on hanging out.

As little as I know about weather and weather patterns, apparently the jet stream has dipped down south and is preventing it from moving up north? So as long as it's there by the gulf it can maintain its strength and keeps pulling in more moisture?

Yeah. It's feeding off the GoM in its stall pattern.
There's dry air coming over from New Mexico that has a good chance of killing it off though. SW and South Central Louisiana is going to get a lot of rain until then
