bumped into Jay Dardenne in checkout line at Walmart today. Gave him a Good Morning when he walked up to acknowledge I knew who he was. Then just a "Good luck to ya" when I was heading out. He was responsive and friendly.
Csb but there was a time when I Loathed the dude for supporting the 21 yr old Drinking age change. Now at 40 with kids and our roads/traffic sucking arse in BR(his platform in br ads are focused on this) , I may very well vote for him.

I worked with him years ago on his SoS (LOL AT YOUR JOXY SOUTH) campaign and he's really down to earth...perfect as lieutanent governor because he is extremely knowledge about our state and its history for tourism. Never came off like a political type when talking to him. Always felt like normal conversation.

He came to speak at Simon's B-law class. I was a month older than 21 and still bitter about 1.5 yrs of being robbed of my right to imbibe. So yea.
One thing I would like to ask him to this day. Wonder about his stance on violent video games. He was one of those people who wanted games like Doom pulled from shelves(and this 3 years before Columbine). I'm sure he's got off that soapbox in since 96. Jeez I'm old. That was 19 years ago.
