1977 South African black civil rights leader Steven Biko died while in police custody.
1999 Indonesia announced it would allow an international peacekeeping force to restore order to East Timor.
2008 Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, who was under investigation for corruption, resigned as prime minister.

The Baton Rouge Zoo lost its gorilla and instead of paying for one they hired a guy in a gorilla costume to act like a gorilla.
When the people came to see him he pounded his chest and moved like a gorilla. Right next him was a lions cage.
While he was running around chanting like a gorilla and swinging on the cage rails, they broke and he fell into the lions cage.
He started screaming and yelling "help me, help me" as the lion got closer.
The Lion ran to him and said "Shut the hell up or you’re gonna get us both fired!"

Where is the BR zoo? I have been to the Baker zoo, many times but have never found the BR one.
It was rumored for a while that BR wanted to build the St. George zoo, out by the fairgrounds in southern St. George. Did this ever get any traction?

It is spread all over. They keep most of the lesser primates in NBR. BIG cats near campus. Pretty birds over at sorority row etc.
