5 hours.

He came home every weekend the past couple years, but he was home late Thursday night or early Friday.

This year, he has class until late afternoon on Fridays, so he will probably only come in for home games and important weekends (jamboree/my birthday weekend).

I get off at 11:30 3/4 Fridays a month, so I can get to Galveston by the time he finishes school for the day some weekends.

Nothing to it. My wife and lived 5 hours apart the first year and a half we were married.

It's not as bad as I thought it would be.

I thought maybe it would lead to a breakup since we had only been together less than a year when he left, but it has been infinitely better than if we would have broken up in anticipation of the distance.

He just didn't want to go there. We are trying to kinda be budget friendly. I would rather go back to Vegas when we can splurge anyways. Last time I was there we stayed in rooms at the Trop that looked like a crime scene from a Miami Vice episode. Never again

Well Im sure it will all work out. Get ready to throw some miles on the car though...

I can't believe the amount I've put on mine this year.

I was told that he's thinking of staying home for his one week of vacation to study and build shite. Yay.

What about Santa Fe? I've heard it's a pretty cool place to visit.

Don't remind me I've always been off the hook for driving because of school, but now I've graduated.

I think the thing he is most excited about anyway is drinking beer tomorrow. He said he lost his beer gut.

yeah vegas can be a bummer on a budget, I was there 4 nights and my expense report for meals/drink was just shy of 2k and that was alone

We did Vegas for an anniversary a few years ago. Helicopter ride ride and picnic through the Grand Canyon, dinner, shows, etc. it was fine. On the last day it was a Sunday during football season, I spent all day in the sports book while she shopped all day. We were supposed to have dinner at the little italian restaraunt outside of town, needless to say I was in no condition.

How about y'all head over to Canyon Ranch for the weekend??

Vegas on a budget doesn't seem worth it. I agree with that.
