Battery was dead so I got someone out to jump my truck. It started. Drove a couple of blocks and it died on me. I am in Metairie and have no idea what to do.

I used the roadside assistance. They jumped it and it worked for a few blocks.

Get to your closest auto parts store and they can tell you if your alternator is bad

cables tight? my bet is alternator, but double-check the cables just in case. do you pay attention to your gauges? what's it been charging to? Do you have tools in the truck? if so pull the alternator and uber to advance/auto zone etc. if you don't, well, get some tools.
