Applied to graduate school for an MBA and need to take one or the other. From what I have seen the GMAT is for MBA only and GRE could be used for other programs. Also, if you have any materials, suggestions or tips, please hook a brother up.

Several MBA programs waive the GMAT with 10 plus years of verifiable work experience and a couple of recommendation letters.

I've taught classes for both tests, I found the GRE much easier but it probably depends on your math skills vs verbal skills. Every test prep company I know of will let you take a free practice test that will give a detailed score report to get an idea about where you are on each test. There might even be a test that basically tells you which one you should take. We used to have something that determined if you would do better on the ACT or SAT.

Will check into that, but pretty sure my school still wants one or the other anyways.

Which one is better for a gender studies degree? Asking for a friend.

I took the GMAT in 2014 I found it really easy. My fiance took the GRE recently I found it much easier.

May not be applicable, but LSUS waives graduate exams with verifiable work history and a high enough undergrad GPA.
