Biggest fight my wife and I have ever had was over me spending ~$25 on Valentines Day in our first year of marriage while we were broke as shite and in college. We haven't celebrated it in any way since, and it has been glorious.

None of the rest matter, IMO. Those two days are celebrations specifically of her, and she deserves them. Not worth fretting about anything else.
