Just an FYI as someone who has lived through this 3 years ago, use text messages to contact loved ones. Phone lines - both landline and cell - will be almost impossible to get through.
Email or social media (Facebook, Twitter) are good options, too.

Yep. That's what I'm thinking. It'd be bad if people let their guards down thinking everything is over & go to bed, then the shite ramps up again. Night time tornadoes are the worst. Hate fricking tornadoes.

My sister and her family live in Hoover and I've been going nuts trying to get up with her. She just texted me back a few minutes ago and they are fine but that waiting and not knowing is awful.

Growing up in an area prone to tornadoes, I've been through nine or ten of them, and living in hurricane territory as an adult, I' ve been through a few of them. I can officially say, tornadoes are by far the scariest. I've thought I would die several times because of one. Frick a tornado.
