How do you fig sticks not understand, the millennial name comes from kids "coming of age" around the millennium

Which would make 1982 make more sense to me as people that age (and moving forward) started becoming adults in the new millennium. It makes no difference to me either way. It just seems like 1981 was picked to keep GenX at 15 years.

I think there needs to be a distinction between Gen Y and Millennials. Not sure why that never caught on as there is a noticeable difference between people born on opposite ends of the spectrum.

Don’t disagree. I’m an older millennial and have a completely different world view and had a very different upbringing than the younger millennials I cross paths with. I think the advent of the internet and social media is where things changed in those regards. I grew up with neither. Didn’t have the internet really until I was a sophomore in high school and Facebook came out when I was a senior in college. Both were well engrained in society when younger millennials reached their formative years.

Me and my younger sister (84) were raised and act completely different then my baby sister (92).

Hopefully your younger sister knows the difference between then and than, as it’s clearly due to generational differences that your parents failed to educate you.

My siblings and I (all born within a 6 year timespan) all act different from one another. You are a millennial. Deal with it.
