I-14 I would think stands the best chance. Texas has at least started moving forward with this already.

It's there to connect military bases so we will almost certainly see that one.

I'm all for some new interstates out west, but that I27 route from Laredo to Amarillo is going to be a chore to drive. Definitely going to need truck stops selling extra-caffinated coffee out there because that's gonna be a snoozer, just like I25 through New Mexico.

Did you ever notice on the New Leeville bridge how the lanes don’t seem to match the decking of the bridge on the north side of the bridge.

I’m too drunk to taste this chicken so no but I’ll have to check that out next time

B) If so, why not just continue 55 south from LaPlace and catch Hwy 1 around Raceland or just continue 310 south through Des Allemands and catch that same route?

Google Street View is your friend.

Northbound side has a section to jut off if they ever added the off ramp. And the Southbound side has a wider shoulder if they ever added an acceleration lane.

Strange to me there are no plans for a Interstate to connect Houston and Austin. 290 could easily be upgraded, even Texas 71 through Columbus/LaGrange is nearly all 4-lane divided and wouldn’t take much to upgrade.
