have the Hasegawa 1/48 scale B-25 in my model desk right now. I think I might try out their US insignia masking on it.
Do it! Take your time setting them up.
I quite a few Luftwaffe birds. I need to see if they gave Hartman’s ‘Black Tulip’ 109

Word!
I’ve stopped buying until I build all these weird ones I have laying around.
Gotha should be fun.
Your model is beginning to look like a toy that someone would buy in a store.
Well done.

Nice. Build it and post it! I have far too many in the stash

I’m trying to make time for it.
With model building, I can get into this flow state where all I’m concentrated on is the model.
Catharsis.
Just like snowboarding, skateboarding, climbing and gardening for me.
Again, can’t wait to see your Avenger.
That platform was completely amazing during WWII.
Dauntless, Avenger, Hellcat, Hell Diver had so many relentlessly incredible US pilots and prop planes.
Balls of steel.

Yes they did. Weathering is next and trying exhaust stains. Then final assembly. I want to do a flight deck scene but we will see

Just mix up your own weathering. Browns for both (weathering and exhaust).
Add some copper in it.
Black hues never popped out on my navy blues like browns do.

I have Tamiya clear brown and black. Fortunately, on the Avenger in this tri-color scheme, the exhaust would be in the white part. Brown, then black, and maybe a touch of grey in the center. Heavily thinned, of course

Tamiya always was too heavy for me.
Too thick and when diluted it just wouldn’t show up for me.
If you’re spraying acrylic, just make your own mix with your acrylic paint.
I promise it will be better than those thick arse Tamiya bottles.

The Mission Models acrylic always worked best for me, over STYNYLREZ primers.
They take all the weathering.

Looking good! On my plate is an ICM models (Ukraine company, first time) 1/48th Bristol Beaufort torpedo bomber from early in WW2, eventually was replaced by the Beaufighter. So much glazing to mask off.
Tamiya smoke X-19 thru an airbrush makes some nice exhaust/gun gas staining.

I don’t know why I was thinking clear Tamiya. I do have their clear smoke, and it’s legit. However, this Mr Color is what I was referring to:

I love that setup!
I’ve heard good stuff about those paints. I’m primarily a lacquer user, but damn if those Atom by MiG acrylics are trying to convert me. My go to primer is Mr Surfacer, I found a supplier and hi it 4 bottles. My favorite paints are MRP, Mr Color and Hataka. All great paints that dry fast.
